Al-Anabi continued its decline in the world rankings issued by FIFA for the month of November yesterday, Thursday, and Al-Anabi fell two places to come to 48th place after it was in last month’s classification in 46th place.
Al-Anabi’s results in the World Cup qualifiers caused this decline, as it suffered 3 losses in 6 matches against the Emirates (twice) and Iran, as well as a draw with North Korea, and only achieved victory over Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Al-Anabi reached 34th place after winning the Asian Championship for the second time in its history, in February 2024, and then began to decline with poor results in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, and came in 35th place in June, 44th in September, and 46th last October.
Despite its decline globally, Annabi remained fifth in Asia, behind Japan, which occupied first place, Iran second, then South Korea and Australia.
Annabi also finished fourth at the Arab level, behind the teams of Morocco, Egypt and Algeria
Al-Anabi will not play any matches before this classification, as the World Cup qualifiers have stopped until next March 20 in the seventh round, and the first activity that Al-Anabi will play in the next position will be Gulf 26 in Kuwait, starting from December 21.
