The first conference on tripartite governance, or what has become known as environmental, social and corporate governance standards, will be held in Doha on October 28-29. Her Excellency Sheikha Amal bint Thamer Al Thani, President of the Conference, said during a press conference that the conference is being held with the support of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). It aims to promote a deeper understanding of the implementation of ESG standards across various sectors, and facilitate discussions on regulation, reporting, global integration, and innovative practices in sustainability.
Sheikha Amal Al Thani indicated that the three-tier corporate governance (ESG) standards have become one of the basic pillars of corporate management at the present time, and revealed that the world is steadily moving towards adopting these standards and making them mandatory for companies listed on stock exchanges.
Ms. Rebecca Hickman, CEO of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in the United Kingdom, expressed her pleasure in participating in organizing this historic event, where famous speakers from leading sectors and universities will come together to discuss promoting best practices in ESG.
As for Sheikh Tamim bin Faisal bin Jassim Al Thani, Executive Vice President of Aamal Company, he said: We are proud to be one of the pioneers of listed companies that submitted environmental, social and governance sustainability reports, as these reports cover all the efforts made by the company and its subsidiaries in preserving the environment.
