The Ministry of Trade and Industry has carried out field tours to ensure that car agencies are committed to the application of circulation No. (1) of 2025 regarding the disclosure of the advertisements, within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to support transparency, improve the consumer experience, and enhance mutual trust between consumers and car agents.
The Ministry published through its official account with the “X” platform as part of the field visits made by its inspectors, which showed that the car agencies are obligated to put screens showing the prices of new cars as well as the prices of spare parts, and periodic maintenance wages.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry called on all consumers to report any violations or violations through the communication center, or through the Ministry’s accounts on social media platforms.
Circular No. (1) of the year 2025 issued by the Ministry comes in the context of its keenness to support transparency, improve the consumer experience and enhance mutual trust between consumers and car agents, based on the provisions of Law No. (8) of 2008 regarding consumer protection and amendments, especially articles (Article/7-3), (M/8-1) and (M/16) of the Law on Consumer Rights, where (Article/7) stipulated that it is that it is (Article/7). “The provider is prohibited from describing, advertising, or displaying the commodity in a manner that contains false or deceptive data.” the law.
