On Wednesday evening, the third episode of the “Muthail” competition for Nabati poetry was concluded in its second edition, which is organized by the Ministry of Culture under the slogan “Ethics Dalal”, at the Methail Theater in the Ministry’s building, and it will be held monthly up to the final episode that coincides with the National Day of the State.
The Omani poet Ahmed Mohamed Al -Muqbali won the third stage, whose poems took place on the topic of “literature”, to qualify for the final of the competition scheduled for next December, where he will compete with the poets who are qualified in the first and second stages.
During the third round, registration for poets with poetic talents from all over the world was opened to participate in the fourth round of the competition, which revolves around the topic of “Jabsha”, and registration will be closed on May 10.
The third episode witnessed a strong competition between the five qualified poets, namely: Ahmed Mohamed Al -Muqbali, Anas Abdullah Al -Musaid, Ayed Hamad Al -Mutairi, Faris Abdullah Al -Amri and Nayef Abdulaziz Al -Harbi. They organized their poems in front of the jury and the public, inspired by a poetry house of the able poet Abdullah bin Saleh Al -Khulaifi, and presented their poetic creations that contributed to highlighting the new poetic voices and enhancing the role of Nabati poetry in the cultural scene.
The poet Ahmed Mohamed Al -Maqbali from the Sultanate of Oman, the winner of the third and qualified tour of the final, expressed his happiness to qualify, saying that the competition was strong and very difficult among all poets, and explaining that all his colleagues are at the same level, and that the competition laws require one rider win, expressing his pride in participation and wishing to win the second title at the end of the Mutayil competition after his ascension.
Hamad bin Saleh Al -Marri, Hamad bin Abdullah Al -Nuaimi from Qatar, Al -Muraikhi from Saudi Arabia, Meshaal Al -Zoubi from Kuwait, and Hammoud bin Wahqa from the Sultanate of Oman, members of the jury, expressed their happiness at the level of poets who are qualified in the first and second stages.
The Qatari poet Hamad bin Abdullah Al -Nuaimi explained that the “Makhail” competition is a platform that revives the heritage and honors contemporary creativity, explaining that the competition seeks to highlight Nabati poetry as a bridge between originality and modernity, and that this tour has proven that poets are able to renew this art in a modern spirit, because of the rival competitors and rich discussions.
The Kuwaiti poet Dr. Mishaal Al -Zoghbi said that some poems were distinguished by the philosophical depth and the linking of the heritage to contemporary, and the poetic images were brilliantly employed to simulate humanitarian issues, and that the humble language brought back to mind the masterpieces of classical Nabati poetry.
The competitions of the competition during its nine rounds are awarded the winning winner to the final fifty thousand Qatari riyals, while the qualifiers get the final stage of 15 thousand riyals for each of them, to give the crowned first place in the Mutaayel competition in the final stage one million Qatari riyals, and from the second place to the ninth 100 thousand riyals each.
