The Qatar Olympic Academy is participating in the work of the 19th National Olympic Academies Forum, which is being held at the headquarters of the International Olympic Academy in the city of Olympia in the Republic of Greece, with wide participation of more than one hundred countries, to represent the academies and national Olympic committees around the world.
The Qatar Academy was represented by Khalil Ibrahim Al Jaber, Executive Director, and Ms. Halima Daham Al Harbi, academic expert, in a presence that embodied the Qatar Olympic Academy’s commitment to openness to the international Olympic community and strengthening the bonds of cooperation and partnership.
The Qatari delegation attended the opening ceremony of the forum, which was marked by welcoming speeches delivered by Mr. Isidoros Kovelous, President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, praising the vital role of the Olympic Academies in spreading the values of sport and advancing academic knowledge.
The delegation participated in a pivotal discussion session that addressed the topics of inclusivity, integrity and responsibility in the Olympic Games, where visions were exchanged on how to promote these values in a global sports environment characterized by diversity and challenges.
The delegation also participated in a number of workshops and discussion sessions that focused on developing academic programs.
The participation of the Qatar Olympic Academy in this forum comes within a clear strategy aimed at strengthening international cooperation by building bridges of communication with academies and national Olympic committees, and exchanging experiences through reviewing the latest academic and practical practices in sports management.
Khalil Ibrahim Al Jaber, Executive Director of the Qatar Olympic Academy, stressed that participation in the 19th National Olympic Academies Forum in Greek Olympia represents an important milestone in the Academy’s journey towards strengthening its international presence, noting that this forum is a unique platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge between sports academic institutions from around the world.
