The 2026 World Cup tournament, held in the United States, Canada and Mexico, continues tomorrow, with the eleventh and twelfth groups, in addition to the first and second groups, witnessing a number of important confrontations in the group stage.
In Group Twelve, Ghana and Panama will meet at Toronto Stadium in a confrontation during which each side seeks to achieve a positive start in the tournament.
Ghana is participating in its fifth World Cup, looking forward to regaining its strong presence on the global stage and avoiding repeating the disappointments of exclusion from the group stage in its last two participations in the World Cup in Brazil 2014 and Qatar 2022. The Ghanaian national team enters the match in high spirits after topping its group in the African qualifiers.
On the other hand, the Panama national team is participating in its second participation in the history of the World Cup, after its first appearance in Russia 2018, which ended in an early exit with three defeats. However, the current Panamanian national team, which has imposed itself as one of the most prominent teams in the CONCACAF region after topping its group in the qualifiers, aspires to provide a better level and leave a clear mark in this version of the tournament.
In Group Eleven, the Colombian national team faces its Uzbek counterpart at Mexico City Stadium, in a meeting during which the Colombian national team is looking forward to making a strong start that will enhance its chances of competing for one of the qualification tickets.
As for the Uzbekistan national team, it is participating in its first participation in the history of the World Cup after a historic qualification, and hopes to provide an honorable performance against a competitor with great experience in global tournaments.
In the first group, the South African and Czech teams will meet at Atlanta Stadium in the second round, in a strong and difficult confrontation in which there is no alternative to victory for both teams in order to maintain their hopes in the tournament.
The South African national team enters the confrontation after losing in the opening match to Mexico with a score of 2-0, in a match that witnessed the expulsion of two of its players, which increased the difficulty of its position in the group, while the Czech team fell to South Korea with a score of (2-1), which makes victory a common goal for both parties, in order to maintain their hopes of qualifying.
In the second group, Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina will meet at Los Angeles Stadium in the second round, in a match in which the two teams will seek to achieve the first victory and enhance their chances of reaching the next round.
The group is witnessing a state of balance after the first round matches ended in a draw (1-1), leaving the two teams equal with Qatar and Canada with one point each, which keeps the competition open to all possibilities in the coming rounds.
