“Yachting World” discusses the latest developments and developments in the maritime sector

The eighth edition of the World Yachting Conference, which was hosted by Doha on the sidelines of the activities of the first edition of the Qatar Boat Show, received the most prominent pioneers of the maritime sector from countries of the region and the world, where a series of visions and ideas were presented within discussion sessions that dealt with the latest developments in the maritime sector.
The conference included panel discussions during which various topics were discussed, including the role of yacht tourism in reshaping national identities and the close and dynamic interrelationship inherent between traditions and innovative practices in countries, in addition to examining the expected opportunities and potential challenges.
The conference focused on enhancing the development of the yachting field at the global level and spreading awareness and interest in various aspects of the maritime sector. In addition to highlighting the latest business practices, emerging markets, and new marine destinations.
The latest technological developments and innovations in the maritime sector were also reviewed, highlighting the most important practices based on the principles of sustainability and environmentally friendly solutions that will shape the future of the sector.
Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Mulla, CEO of Old Doha Port – Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Qatar Boat Show 2024, said: “The World Yachting Conference represents an important occasion in the State of Qatar that gave us the opportunity to exchange opinions and experiences and inspire each other in the field of the maritime sector. For his part, Mohammed Hussein Al-Shaali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gulf Craft, confirmed that the conference covered many aspects of the yachting industry in the region and in Qatar. He said: “I hope for success for the exhibition this year, and I am confident that the preparations for this event this year are well organized. Choosing the old port as a location for the exhibition was a good choice. I invite all those interested to attend the Qatar Boat Show and view the existing exhibits.”
The Old Doha Port will host the inaugural edition of the Qatar Boat Show from November 6 to 9, highlighting the ancient maritime heritage of the State of Qatar and contributing to strengthening the local economy. Attracting more than 20,000 expected visitors and more than 450 marine brands, this exhibition highlights the ability of the State of Qatar to host large-scale events with a wide scope and international character, which consolidates its position as a leading marine tourism destination.
