Qatar Chamber and Qatar Export are discussing supporting exporters and facilitating procedures

Qatar Chamber held a joint workshop in cooperation with Qatar Export in the presence of Mr. Ali Sultan Al Kuwari, Senior Director of the Export Development Department at Qatar Development Bank, where Mr. Hamad Ali Muaiqal Al Marri, Director of the Business Councils and Committees Affairs Department, and Ms. Al Anoud Zayed Al Muhannadi, Director of the Affiliates Affairs Department, spoke, and it witnessed the presence of a large number of representatives of private sector companies.
The workshop, which was held at the Chamber’s headquarters, discussed a number of challenges facing local companies and the private sector.
Mr. Ali Sultan Al Kuwari, Senior Director of the Export Development Department at Qatar Development Bank, said: “This workshop on the certificate of origin and its issuance mechanisms comes in cooperation with the partners in the Qatar Chamber within the framework of our joint efforts, to support exporters from companies based in Qatar, and companies operating in the industrial sector, to provide them with the knowledge and tools necessary to develop their businesses and enable them to export their products and services easily, which reflects positively on the status and reliability of the Qatari product, in line with our strategy. “Aiming to activate the export system to ensure the sustainable development of the private sector in Qatar and raise its competitiveness in global markets.”
Mr. Hamad Ali Muaqil Al Marri, Director of the Department of Committees and Business Councils Affairs at the Qatar Chamber, reviewed the committees’ competencies and their role in representing and developing the interests of the private sector, and the management tasks, which aim to coordinate and hold sectoral committee meetings as well as meetings with the concerned authorities and representatives of the private sector.

For her part, Mrs. Al-Anoud Zayed Al-Muhannadi, Director of the Affiliate Affairs Department, reviewed the department’s competencies and tasks, especially with regard to issuing certificates of origin and ratifications.
She said that the Chamber is keen to facilitate its members and local companies by providing authentication services and issuing a certificate of origin electronically on the Chamber’s website, and indicated that the total transactions carried out by the administration from the beginning of the year 2025 until mid-October exceeded 46 thousand transactions.
