The Gulf Businesswomen Forum recommends digital transformation for women’s projects

The activities of the Seventh Gulf Businesswomen Forum concluded yesterday under the slogan “Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Investment,” which was held over two days under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Chamber, and organized by the Union of Gulf Chambers in cooperation with the Qatar Chamber, with the support of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and in a strategic partnership from Qatar National Bank (QNB).
The second day of the forum witnessed the holding of three working sessions and a review of more success stories of Gulf women and entrepreneurs. Mrs. Ibtihaj Al-Ahmadani and Mrs. Noura Al-Salem honored the speakers in the working sessions and those with success stories in the forum.

Success stories of women entrepreneurs
Entrepreneur Jawaher Al Mannai from the State of Qatar reviewed her success story through manufacturing and designing jewelry, and talked about her brand, “Ghand,” which was founded in 2015 and its participation in many local, Gulf, and international exhibitions and events. Mannai also designed souvenirs for Qatar’s National Day, as well as participating in Qatari exhibitions and auctions.
At the conclusion of the forum, Ms. Noura Al-Salem, Assistant Secretary-General of the Federation of Gulf Chambers, delivered the final statement and recommendations, in which she expressed the pride of the Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers in the constructive dialogue, distinguished participation, and practical recommendations that have been achieved during the past days, confirming the growing status of Gulf women and their pivotal role in economic development.
She pointed out that the forum produced a number of important recommendations and outputs that would contribute to enhancing the position of Gulf women in the business environment, and enabling them to contribute effectively to achieving the goals of national development visions. The most prominent of these recommendations are: activating the platform for Gulf businesswomen that was launched during the forum, to be a unified Gulf database for communication and exchange of investment opportunities between businesswomen, supporting small and medium enterprises led by Gulf women through joint financing and training initiatives, and encouraging their entry into promising economic sectors, promoting digital transformation and modern technologies in businesswomen’s projects, enabling them to benefit from smart solutions to raise efficiency and competitiveness, and increasing the participation of Gulf women in non-traditional sectors such as technology, renewable energy, creative industries, and financial technology, Through specialized training and qualification programs.
