Visit Qatar marketing campaigns promote Qatar’s tourist attractions globally

Qatar Tourism launched distinctive and high-level marketing campaigns during the current year, through its main arm “Visit Qatar”, the entity responsible for marketing and promoting the tourism sector in the State of Qatar. These marketing campaigns aim to put Qatar on the world tourism map, and consider it a new global destination that is pulsating with life through the places, resorts and tourist facilities it owns, which rise to international standards according to the certificates of international tourism organizations and international hospitality organizations.

Visit Qatar’s International Participations in 2024
To enhance its presence in regional and international forums, and to market Qatar as a destination that features wonderful tourism facilities and offers various cultural, entertainment and family experiences while preserving its authentic Arab identity, Qatar Tourism participated at the head of a delegation that included a group of partners in the sector representing the State of Qatar in many exhibitions and conferences, including the Mumbai Travel Fair 2024, the International Tourism and Travel Exchange Berlin 2024, the Arabian Travel Market 2024, the 50th meeting of the Regional Committee for the Middle East of the United Nations Tourism Organization, the China International Tourism Expo 2024, the exceptional international trade fair, IMEX Frankfurt 2024, in Germany, and the 27th Arab-German Business Forum, held in Berlin.

Marketing campaigns during 2024 “Double the Discovery” campaign:
In March this year, Visit Qatar, in collaboration with the Saudi Tourism Authority and Discover Saudi (a subsidiary of Al Musafir), the Kingdom’s leading destination management company, announced the launch of a new promotional campaign titled “Double the Discovery” during its participation in the Berlin International Tourism Fair, to promote the most prominent attractions and tourist destinations in both countries, giving international visitors to both countries a wonderful opportunity to explore the most prominent tourist attractions, cultural centers and historical sites in both Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in one trip. With carefully designed travel packages, the “Double the Discovery” campaign opens up a world of opportunities and benefits to travelers, providing them with unique and immersive experiences that highlight the diverse natural landscapes, iconic architectural structures and authentic heritage traditions of both countries. This joint campaign focuses on providing diverse experiences such as shopping, exploring art galleries and cultural centers, engaging in educational activities, visiting beach destinations and taking advantage of the options provided by modern relaxation facilities.

“Your Summer Starts with Us” Campaign:
Visit Qatar has launched its Summer 2024 campaign, “Your Summer Begins With Us”, showcasing the unique experiences Qatar has to offer visitors. The campaign’s promotional video featured renowned Bahraini digital influencer and filmmaker Omar Farooq on a 24-hour visit to Doha, where he met his Qatari friend, renowned high jump champion Mutaz Barshim.
Both Barshim and Farooq enjoyed the unique summer offers and experiences that Qatar has to offer.
The “Your Summer Starts With Us” campaign provided a comprehensive overview of Qatar’s tourism offerings, from shopping at the best malls, to experiencing Doha’s pristine beaches and even Qatar’s five-star restaurants, to encourage visitors to extend their stay in Qatar.

Pause campaign
During its participation in the UEFA Euro 2024 football championship in Germany, Visit Qatar launched an influential promotional campaign featuring the European Championship trophy to promote the temporary stopover in Qatar.
The campaign’s promotional video was shown across 49 media channels in key European markets, highlighting Qatar’s top tourist attractions and encouraging international travelers to explore Qatar’s top tourist destinations and stop over during short trips.
Visit Qatar has also partnered with COPA90, a leading football platform, to create engaging content featuring top football personalities and English football legend Rio Ferdinand, to promote Qatar as an unmissable tourist destination.

Jewelry Experts Campaign
During this year’s edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE), which took place from 5 to 11 February 2024 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, Visit Qatar unveiled its “Jewellery Experts” promotional campaign, which featured international supermodel and TV personality, Irina Shayk, alongside French football legend and famous sports presenter, Thierry Henry. The campaign showcased an exclusive collection of exceptional luxury jewellery and watches, supported by the exhibition’s five major exhibitors and main partners, namely Fifty One East, Ali Bin Ali Jewellery, Al Fardan Jewellery, Al Majed Jewellery, and Bulgari, who provided an exclusive opportunity to capture video clips of a selection of their exclusive jewellery pieces. The Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition is the oldest and most anticipated exhibition in Qatar’s annual calendar of events, and is considered one of the main pillars in driving development and progress towards globalization and enhancing the State of Qatar’s position among the fastest growing tourist destinations in the region.
In this context, Qatar Tourism announced that the 21st edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition will be held from May 5 to 11 next year, instead of its usual date in February of each year. Qatar Tourism confirms that the decision to postpone the exhibition to May comes within the framework of enhancing the participants’ experience in a comprehensive manner, and ensuring that the exhibition continues to achieve new standards of excellence.
