Weill Cornell Medical College Qatar announced the organization of the second edition of the Technology in Medical Education Conference, with the participation of an elite group of experts and speakers from inside and outside Qatar, during the period from 17 to 19 October.
The conference, which constitutes a platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge, provides the opportunity for academics, specialists in medical sciences, health care, and medical students to explore the growing role of rapid technological developments in areas such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and virtual reality, and their impact on developing methods of teaching medical sciences and practicing the profession.
The conference program includes presentations, workshops, and discussion sessions centered around the relationship between technology and the humanities, and the importance of this integration in preparing doctors who combine scientific competence and human compassion in the age of artificial intelligence.
The conference received accreditation from the Accreditation Department of the Health Specialties Department of the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar, and from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education in the United States, allowing participants to obtain accredited medical education hours and units.
