SpaceX announced that the Starship spacecraft, designed to conduct trips to the Moon and Mars, succeeded for the first time in landing in the Indian Ocean after returning to the Earth’s atmosphere, about an hour after the fourth test flight of this giant rocket.
The company, owned by American billionaire Elon Musk, said in a post on the “X” platform: “The landing has been confirmed,” at a time when the company continues to develop “Starship” at a strong pace in order to correct any problems during flight as quickly as possible.
The “Starship” rocket, which is the largest and most powerful in the world, launched from the US state of Texas, earlier yesterday, Thursday, in a test flight that aims, after about an hour of flight, to return to the Earth’s atmosphere in a more controlled manner compared to previous tests that ended in explosions.
