Al -Khulaifi: The development of four central competencies to prepare the next generation of financial leaders

The Qatar Academy of Finance and Business has announced the launch of the tenth edition of its national program, “Financial cadres”, and to open the door for receiving requests for those wishing to join the program through its website, starting from April 10 to July 31, 2025. The organization of the tenth edition of the program involves the distinguished partnership with the Qatar Central Bank, the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and the Ministry of Labor.

During a press conference, Dr. Khalifa Al -Salahi Al -Yafi, the CEO of the Qatar Financial and Business Academy, expressed his happiness at launching the tenth edition of the program, stressing that the program succeeded over the years to be one of the main pillars in the academy’s strategy, achieving clear goals that are to support efforts to settle the financial sector, and empower Qatari youth with the knowledge, skills and practical experiences that qualify them for sustainable professional success.
Al -Yafii added: “This program represents a milestone in our march, especially since this version coincides with the passage of a full decade of excellence and giving since the start of the program, which was designed to keep pace with the changing needs of the financial and banking sector, and reflects the aspirations of our partners and the requirements of the future labor market.”
On the most prominent characteristic of the tenth version of the program, he stressed that it will be more inclusive and compatible with the challenges of the banking sector, and that it is witnessing a set of fundamental updates that were entered to keep pace with the sector’s developments and the needs of the local market, including the restructuring of educational units, the extension of the duration of the program, and the adoption of more interactive and applied learning methods, in addition to optional activities that support the construction of an integrated professional personality for the participants.
Al -Yafii also thanked all the partners and sponsors supporting the financial cadres program, for their permanent support, and their active participation and their tireless efforts, which contributed greatly to the success of the program and its achievement of the desired goals.

A comprehensive understanding of the global banking system
In turn, Mr. Majid Abdulaziz Al -Khulaifi, Director of the Training and Vocational Development Department at the Qatar Financial Academy and works, said: “The tenth edition of the program is witnessing a qualitative shift in content design, as an integrated methodology has been adopted that focuses on developing four central competencies that are a basis for preparing the next generation of financial leaders in the country, and these competencies include banking culture that gives the participants a comprehensive understanding of the global banking system, compliance, The risks, modern financial technologies, and the financial culture that focuses on the skills necessary to understand the performance of financial institutions and evaluate their market value, in addition to acumen in the field of business that enhance awareness of the economy, government policies and global economic indicators, and finally the social and emotional skills that contribute to building the leadership personality and enhancing emotional intelligence. ”
Al -Khulaifi added: “The duration of the program has been extended to six months, with the allocation of two complementary tracks: The first targets the employees, as they participate in an intensive training week every month, followed by a direct application in their actual work environments, which allows immediate alignment between academic content and daily work requirements, and the second for new graduates looking for job opportunities, and covers a larger number of educational units to enhance the readiness of the market Work, as we were keen to develop the educational experience by mixing interactive and practical learning, and including motivational play elements. In addition to the basic content, the program provides a set of optional activities such as specialized lessons, inspiring sessions with sector experts, team building activities, health and welfare initiatives, in addition to social responsibility projects, with the aim of providing a comprehensive educational experience and enriching the experiences of the participants. »

Expanding the scope of educational units
It should be noted that the “Financial Cadres” program was launched in the year 2013, and the organization of nine previous copies witnessed, in turn, the ninth edition of the program that was launched last year achieved a distinct success in all aspects, as the program witnessed the expansion of educational units to include six educational units, while the capacity of those enrolled in it increased to reach the number of graduates to 75 students, in addition to that in addition to that the cooperation was made with Six prominent local and international institutions, and organize about 43 workshops and lectures throughout the program, as well as hosting 11 guests of major banking, insurance and investment sectors.
